Freelance Quantity Surveyor – Immediate Start

We are currently partnering with a well-established PLC house builder who are urgently seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support a live residential development in Watford.
The Role: You will be responsible for overseeing commercial and cost-management duties across the site, ensuring financial control, accurate reporting, and smooth delivery of the project. You’ll work closely with the site and commercial teams to manage subcontractor packages, valuations, variations, and overall commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing cost control and budgeting throughout the project
- Preparing and reviewing valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Procurement and management of subcontractor packages
- Providing accurate commercial reporting and forecasting
- Ensuring compliance with company and industry standards
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within residential / housebuilding
- Background with PLC developers highly advantageous
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of NEC/JCT contracts
- Ability to work autonomously and hit the ground running
- Available to start immediately and commit until at least the end of January
