About the Company

We are partnering with one of the most respected and forward-thinking housing developers in the region. Known for delivering high-quality, design-led homes and investing heavily in career development, this business continues to expand across the South West. With a long-term, multi-phase development underway in Somerset, they are looking to appoint an ambitious Assistant Site Manager who wants to grow and progress within a thriving organisation.

The Role

As Assistant Site Manager, you will support the delivery of a high-quality residential scheme from groundwork stages through to final handover. You will work closely with an experienced Site Manager and wider project team, providing leadership, coordination, and daily operational support on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard
  • Support coordination of subcontractors and materials
  • Conduct quality inspections and maintain site records
  • Promote and enforce Health & Safety compliance across the site
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams, local stakeholders, and homeowners
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and positive site culture

About You

  • Experience working on residential sites (assistant management level or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of NHBC standards and building regulations
  • Confident communicator with strong organisational skills
  • Driven, proactive and eager to progress within a well-established developer
  • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid preferred
