Sophia at Avocet Legal Careers is looking for an experienced Employment Paralegal to join a fantastic in-house legal team on a part-time basis (4 days per week). Role Overview This part-time Employment Paralegal role is perfect if you have a passion for employment law and you are looking to move away from private practice and into an in-house setting. You will be the first point of contact for employment advice, and you will be the dedicated support to legal counsel. We\’re looking for someone who\’s sharp, detail-oriented, meticulous and willing to learn and grow with the position. In-House Employment Paralegal Responsibilities: * Be the initial contact for HR teams when they need legal guidance * Give clear, practical advice on employment law issues * Draft legal documents with the support of counsel * Conduct thorough legal research * Assist with Employment Tribunal preparation and bundles * Work with HR to develop policies * Keep HR teams updated on legal changes * Step in to cover Legal Counsel when they\’re away * Handle sensitive employment matters with discretion In-House Employment Paralegal Requirements: * 2:1 Law degree (or equivalent) or CILEX Paralegal qualification * At least 12 months of hands-on Employment Law paralegal experience * Good working knowledge of employment law and HR practices * Strong drafting skills * Excellent communication skills * Confident with Microsoft Office * Meticulous attention to detail * Able to work independently or as part of a team * Flexible attitude and professional approach * Strong research and problem-solving skills Benefits: * Part-time hours – 0.8 permanent contract (either 4 full days or 5 shorter days – your choice!) * Competitive salary (£33,482 full-time = £26,785.60 for 4 days) * Hybrid working – best of both worlds * Incredible pension scheme * Training and development opportunities * 39 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays (pro-rata) * Cycle to Work scheme * Plus so much more!
