About the Role
The successful candidate will join the firm's expanding audit and accounts department in their Exeter office. This varied role offers exposure to a broad range of accountancy services, providing excellent opportunities to develop comprehensive expertise across multiple disciplines.
Audit and Accounts Senior Responsibilities:
- Prepare and compile financial statements for limited companies with varying complexities
- Process and finalise tax returns for both corporate entities and individual clients
- Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and reviewing their work
- Participate in both internal and external audit engagements
- Develop strong working relationships with clients across diverse sectors
- Contribute to the firm's continued growth and development
- Work closely with partners and managers on client assignments
- Demonstrate technical accuracy and attention to detail across all work
- Maintain awareness of regulatory changes and compliance requirements
- Help shape the evolution of the role as the practice expands
Audit and Accounts Senior Requirements:
- AAT qualification or currently studying towards ACA/ACCA professional qualifications
- 2-4 years' experience working within an accountancy practice environment
- Strong understanding of UK accounting standards and tax regulations
- Excellent analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Effective communication abilities with both colleagues and clients
- Well-organised approach with capability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience supervising junior team members (advantageous)
- Previous audit experience (preferable but not essential)
