About the Role

The successful candidate will join the firm's expanding audit and accounts department in their Exeter office. This varied role offers exposure to a broad range of accountancy services, providing excellent opportunities to develop comprehensive expertise across multiple disciplines.

Audit and Accounts Senior Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and compile financial statements for limited companies with varying complexities
  • Process and finalise tax returns for both corporate entities and individual clients
  • Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and reviewing their work
  • Participate in both internal and external audit engagements
  • Develop strong working relationships with clients across diverse sectors
  • Contribute to the firm's continued growth and development
  • Work closely with partners and managers on client assignments
  • Demonstrate technical accuracy and attention to detail across all work
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory changes and compliance requirements

Audit and Accounts Senior Requirements:

  • AAT qualification or currently studying towards ACA/ACCA professional qualifications
  • 2-4 years' experience working within an accountancy practice environment
  • Strong understanding of UK accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Excellent analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Effective communication abilities with both colleagues and clients
  • Well-organised approach with capability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience supervising junior team members (advantageous)
  • Previous audit experience (preferable but not essential)
