Farnell, an Avnet company, is a global high-service distributor of technology products, services and solutions for electronic system design, maintenance and repair. Our team in Leeds are currently recruiting a Shift Supervisor to join us in our Distribution Centre at Logic Industrial Park, Leeds 9. Our team have gone through a period of change following the on-boarding of a new purpose-built facility. To support this, we have newly created roles within the team supporting, coaching, managing, and developing our Production Operatives. Previous experience in working within a Distribution or Warehouse facility is essential along with being a people person and managing a team (large or small). Key in this role is the ability to build relationships and engage with the team to ensure the best working environment whilst having fun along the way.
Our Supervisors are key in the management of activities such as packing, shipping, receiving, order fulfilment, stock handling, storing, distribution, and inventory. We work to provide a high quality, cost-effective, and efficient service to meet current and future demands of our customers within the electronics industry.
Our new team members will be able to learn quickly; our facility is new and with this comes teething problems and ad hoc queries regarding process and the system. You need to be open to a challenge and support team members, whilst also being part of the process of on-boarding new employees and managing the day-to-day employee relations activities within your area.
