We’re looking for an Employee Relations Advisor to join Farnell. Based out of our Head Office in Leeds, this hybrid role offers flexibility, variety, and the chance to make a real impact. You’ll be part of a supportive and collaborative HR Service Centre team, supporting colleagues across the UK, Nordics and Ireland. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys employee relations, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and wants to get involved in a wide range of HR projects alongside day‑to‑day advisory work. This role is hybrid, and you will be expected to be office based 3 days per week.

What will you be doing?
- Provide advice and guidance to line managers and HR Business Partners on a wide range of employee relations matters, ensuring policies and procedures are followed to mitigate risk and achieve effective outcomes
- Advise employees and managers on all HR policy‑related queries
- Support HR and wider business projects, collaborating with team members to deliver agreed outcomes
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date case management records
- Coach and support managers on employee relations activities in line with company policies and local employment legislation
- Provide guidance and support to managers during investigations, disciplinary, grievance, and hearings as required
- Occasional UK travel may be required.
What about you?
- CIPD qualification (or equivalent practical experience)
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law, with a particular focus on employee relations
- Proven experience managing complex employee relations cases from initial advice through to full case management
- Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment and discretion
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong critical thinker.
- Experience with case management systems would be a benefit.
