We’re excited to introduce a brand‑new Customer Development Representative role within our Leeds‑based team. This hybrid position (working 3 days in the office each week) combines inside sales, customer service, and technical understanding to support both new and existing customers. You’ll reach out through a variety of channels — phone, email, and digital platforms — to understand customer needs, recommend solutions, and help drive Farnell’s continued growth. You’ll build trusted relationships, identify new sales opportunities, and support your customers with a value‑led approach that contributes directly to our commercial success.

What will you be doing?
- Use independent judgement and proven sales methodologies to deliver solutions and uncover new opportunities.
- Identify and route potential sales to appropriate stakeholders when necessary.
- Proactively reach out to prospective and existing customers to promote Farnell’s product range, services, and capabilities.
- Respond accurately and efficiently to customer enquiries to support a positive experience.
- Manage sales activity through each stage of the cycle, from first contact to fulfilment.
- Deepen relationships with existing accounts by understanding their markets, pipelines, and timelines.
- Collaborate with product specialists, materials teams, field sales, and suppliers to develop aligned customer strategies.
- Provide customers with up‑to‑date product information, pricing, quotations, and full solution support.
- Coordinate customer requirements relating to inventory, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Support team and business‑wide initiatives as needed.
