Location: Stevenage (Hybrid)
We’re looking for an HR Advisor to join Avnet, a global organisation on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, covering maternity leave. Based in Stevenage, this hybrid role offers flexibility, variety, and the chance to make a real impact. You’ll be part of a supportive and collaborative HR Service Centre team, supporting colleagues across the UK and Ireland. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys employee relations, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and wants to get involved in a wide range of HR projects alongside day‑to‑day advisory work. This role is hybrid, and you will be expected to be office based 3 days per week.

What will you be doing?
- Provide advice and guidance to line managers and HR Business Partners on a wide range of employee relations matters, ensuring policies and procedures are followed to mitigate risk and achieve effective outcomes.
- Advise employees and managers on all HR policy‑related queries.
- Support HR and wider business projects, collaborating with team members to deliver agreed outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date case management records.
- Coach and support managers on employee relations activities in line with company policies and local employment legislation.
- Provide guidance and support to managers during investigations, disciplinary, grievance, and hearings as required.
- Occasional UK travel may be required.
What about you?
- CIPD qualification (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law, with a particular focus on employee relations.
- Proven experience managing employee relations cases from initial advice through to full case management.
- Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment and discretion.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong critical thinker.
- Experience with case management systems would be a benefit.
