Join our energetic and fast‑growing team at Farnell as a Business Development Representative (BDR)! We’re looking for a proactive, curious, and commercially driven individual to help identify, qualify, and develop new sales opportunities for our industry‑leading Test & Measurement products, software, and solutions. If you enjoy engaging with customers, uncovering their challenges, and helping connect them with the right technical solutions — this is the role for you.
What you’ll be doing:
- Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities through outbound prospecting
- Engage new and existing customers via phone, email, and virtual meetings
- Understand customer needs in R&D, manufacturing test, and validation environments
- Initiate first‑contact conversations to position NI’s test solutions
- Qualify opportunities based on need, fit, timeline, and budget
- Route sales‑ready opportunities to Account Managers or Business Development Managers
- Respond promptly to customer information requests about NI products and capabilities
- Maintain consistent follow‑up throughout the opportunity lifecycle
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and NI partners
- Accurately update CRM systems to support forecasting and pipeline visibility
- Contribute to pipeline growth, account expansion, and regional sales objectives
