Job Summary: This is an exciting role where you will lead and manage the Database Administration team. You will oversee the design, development, and implementation of robust database solutions that support business systems and application delivery. This role will ensure database configurations, structures, security, and performance are optimized through effective governance and best practice.

What you will be doing:
- Managing a team of individuals who defines, creates, installs, maintains and upgrades department and enterprise databases within a variety of computing environments.
- Oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of databases, including job control language, access methods, access time, device allocation and validation checks.
- Coordinates the analysis, tests, and implements physical and logical database design supporting various business applications.
- Ensures that data recovery, maintenance, data integrity, and space requirements for physical database are met and plans and procedures are developed and followed.
- Reviews SQL coding for reusability, performance and stability within application design and support phase of projects.
- Manages and administers databases across multiple platforms and computing environments at the business unit and group level.
- Oversees the maintenances of the database support tools, database tables and dictionaries, recovery and backup procedures, performs capacity planning and reporting, performs environment refreshes, and related activities.
- Defines and develops database standards, procedures and related documentation.
- Provides oversight and direction regarding assigned team, financial and operational activities.
What we are looking for:
- Extensive work-related experience gained in a similar role.
- Proven experience leading and managing database teams, with a strong track record of mentoring, developing, and motivating technical professionals.
- Excellent technical knowledge of Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross functionally with senior leaders, business and technical teams, and external partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying risks and implementing effective solutions.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
