Farnell Global is seeking a skilled Accountant for a 12-month Maternity Cover, to support our finance operations. Job Summary
Working in the Group Financial accountant team, the team is responsible for delivery of the external financial reporting for the Farnell EMEA entities, including the financial statements, delivery of audits, support with corporate filings, and VAT and indirect tax reporting. Beyond the day to day, this role offers the opportunity to drive continuous improvement initiatives within the wider finance team. What will you be doing?
- Responsible for preparing and filing of all statutory accounts to deadline and to appropriate accounting standards.
- Ensure the preparation/filing of all other regulatory information as required, including corporate tax returns.
- Review entity VAT returns.
- Maintain relationships with auditors, business unit management and other stakeholders as necessary to drive adherence to deadlines.
- Maintains and documents internal accounting controls.
- May assist in the setup of processes and procedures.
- Provides guidance and support for both internal and external audits (adhoc, quarterly and annual).
- Other duties as assigned.
