The Special Projects Site Manager will take ownership of the day-to-day site-specific project plan and management of AVK suppliers with the respective project managers/package manager team. Management of AVK suppliers, subcontractors, access, permitting. Liaise with commissioning teams and hold specific meetings with all suppliers to obtain progress, programme and commissioning plans. Attend client site meetings and present report c/w droplines. Management of SAT/FAT, technical submittals, general test scripts and drawings to be prepared during the project life cycle. Attend off site FAT tests and take ownership of the equipment testing to comply with relevant specifications and documentation completion and sign off. The Site Manager will be responsible for scheduling the commissioning activities, tagging process, sign off and acceptance of systems from the client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing Commissioning Plans: Creating comprehensive commissioning plans specifically tailored to generators and associated equipment, defining commissioning requirements, schedules, resources, and budgets.
- Coordinating Commissioning Activities: Collaborating with project managers, engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure that commissioning activities are effectively integrated into the overall project plan.
- Testing and Verification: Overseeing the testing and verification of generators and related equipment to ensure that they meet performance specifications and regulatory standards.
- Documentation Management: Maintaining detailed documentation of all commissioning activities, ensuring that documentation is accurate, organised, and readily accessible for reference.
- Client Communication: Providing regular updates to clients on the progress of commissioning activities and ensuring that client expectations are effectively managed throughout the commissioning process.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensuring that all commissioning activities comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and project-specific requirements. Implementing safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks to personnel and equipment during commissioning activities.
- Quality Assurance: Implementing quality assurance processes to ensure that generators and associated equipment are installed and commissioned to the highest standards of quality and reliability. Conducting inspections and audits to verify compliance with specifications and best practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in commissioning procedures and practices. Implementing lessons learned from previous projects to optimize future commissioning efforts and enhance overall project outcomes.
