We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Engineering Team in London. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical design experience who wants to work on high‑profile UPS and Generator projects across the UK and Europe.

Main Responsibilities

  • Produce mechanical designs for UPS and Generator systems.
  • Provide technical support to Sales during pre‑contract phases.
  • Own mechanical package design from handover to completion.
  • Develop design documentation including drawings, data sheets, calculations.
  • Support Project Managers with documentation and testing procedures.
  • Attend client, supplier and witness test meetings.
  • Lead technical studies on mechanical systems.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years' experience in Mechanical Design.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD and Revit skills.
  • Willingness to travel for testing.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desired:

  • Knowledge of fluid systems, ventilation, CDM, materials.
  • Understanding of electrical distribution and control systems.
