The Service Operator will be responsible for:
- Cable installation - supporting LV HV Project Engineers on various applications such as power plants, data centres, hospitals, etc.
- Assisting LV HV PE's with load tests and troubleshooting load bank issues to ensure optimal operation and reliability of power sources.
- Collaborating with LV HV PE's, technicians, and clients to provide support and solutions for load banking within our Service and Project Sectors.
- Following safety protocols and standards for working with low and high voltage equipment environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Ownership: Cable installs, receive instructions from LV HV PE's on cable routes and placement for final connections. Prepare cable quantities for outward bound jobs. Loading and unloading of AVK equipment and booking in when working at the depot. Moving cables to achieve the correct phase numbers. Key holder for depot.
- Installation Oversight: Assist on project installations for both LV and HV applications, ensuring high standards and efficiency.
- Communication: Maintain daily check-ins with the Head of Operations to align on daily and weekly duties.
- Health & Safety (H&S): Participate actively in H&S initiatives and continuously seek improvements in engineering working practices and safety measures.
- Professional Representation: Represent AVK at Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and Site Acceptance Tests (SATs), and act as a professional liaison with clients across the UK, Ireland, and Europe.
- Mentorship: Lead by example, fostering the growth of team members' skills and knowledge.
- Flexibility: Perform any other duties as reasonably requested, demonstrating adaptability and commitment to the role.
