We are an established and industry leading, specialist MEICA contractor for valves, penstocks, and actuators, operating across the UK.

About the Role
As a Lead Site Technician, you will be a hands-on supervisor delivering on-site installation, servicing, and refurbishment of penstocks, valves, and actuators. You will guide a team, drive quality standards, and liaise closely with customers and project engineers – ensuring safe, efficient project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, encourage and enforce safe practices within the team and ensure works are delivered safely.
- Install, service, repair and commission flow control and associated equipment.
- Fault finding, repairing & installing electric actuators.
- Helping ensure projects are on schedule through monitoring operations/communicating on progress to Project Engineers and Site Service Managers.
- Conduct inspections on partially completed and finished works, to ensure quality standards are upheld and visible to the customer.
- Following engineering drawings.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong mechanical/electrical background – ideally with valve/actuator experience.
- Preferably SSSTS qualified.
- A solid technical background, ideally with penstocks, valves, actuators and associated equipment.
- Ability to understand and work to engineering drawings.
- Ability to travel throughout North West region on a daily basis.
- Willingness to work from our Hyde (Manchester) premises on a regular basis when required to do so.
- Willingness to occasionally travel across the UK and have overnight stays, in line with the needs of the company, its workload and customers.
- Experienced in confined space working.
- Proven experience of dealing with key customers in a professional manner.
- Excellent communication and solution orientated problem-solving ability.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and observation.
- Flexibility to adjust workload priorities to take account of new deadlines.
- IT fluency.
- Full driving licence.
- Confident in leading others and upholding high standards.
- Based in or near North West England.
