Join the UK market leader in water infrastructure solutions Atlantic Plastics, part of the global AVK Group, is the leading designer, manufacturer, and supplier of water meter boxes and service fittings for the UK Water Industry. With our trusted brands Atplas, Ebco, and Talbot we are proud to connect people to clean water, both at home and internationally. We are now looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Accountant to join our finance team in Bridgend. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in strategic business planning, delivering insights that shape our future.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage annual sales budgets and forecasts
- Analyse variances against budget, forecast, and prior year and provide actionable insights
- Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management review
- Prepare P&L accounts up to Gross Profit Margin (GP1)
- Build financial models to support decision-making and business cases
- Provide KPI reporting on sales initiatives, NPD, and pricing
- Support capital expenditure planning, budgeting, and reporting
- Maintain the fixed asset register and track capex against budget
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, R&D, and Data teams
- Assist with audits and Group reporting
- Provide holiday cover for the Cost Accountant when needed
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Experience in FP&A, budgeting, and financial modelling
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Excellent Excel skills
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach
- Strong communicator able to work to deadlines
Desirable:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- BI reporting knowledge
Key Performance Indicators
- Budget and forecast accuracy
- Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register
- Effective reporting on sales initiatives and product development
- Consistent delivery against deadlines
