We're looking for a new Senior Estimator to join our Estimating team here at AVK.

The role will play a key role in the estimating function across complex and high-value projects.

It provides strategic cost advice, manages estimating deliverables, and ensures commercial integrity throughout the pre-construction phase.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own all estimating documentation and ensure quality control
  • Lead tender meetings and sign-off processes
  • Deliver accurate cost estimates and competitive tender submissions
  • Develop pricing strategies and oversee bid preparation
  • Review project documents to ensure compliance and identify risks
  • Maintain reliable cashflow forecasts
  • Coordinate inputs from supply chain and internal teams
  • Advise clients on procurement, risk, and estimating strategy
  • Act as a client-facing lead throughout the estimating process
  • Drive improvements in estimating tools and processes
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Ensure outputs meet client expectations and deadlines
  • Champion use of cost databases and benchmarking
  • Build supply chain relationships and gather market intelligence

Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience in estimating across sectors and project types
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 software
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Proven track record of delivering multiple high-quality estimates under pressure
