We are currently looking for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team and contribute to our exciting projects.
As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing the commercial aspects of various data centre projects. Your expertise will help ensure that we manage our costs effectively, meet client expectations, and deliver exceptional results. You will work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and clients to track project progress, manage budgets, and resolve any financial issues that may arise.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and reviewing project estimates and budgets
- Managing subcontractor contracts and ensuring compliance with terms and conditions
- Assisting in the procurement of materials and services
- Conducting valuations and assessments of work completed
- Monitoring project costs and cash flow
- Identifying potential risks and opportunities for cost savings
- Providing advice on contractual and commercial matters
- Preparing financial reports and forecasts for stakeholders
- Engaging in negotiations with clients and suppliers to achieve optimal outcomes
Requirements
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, estimation, and procurement processes
- Excellent analytical and financial management skills
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and applications
- Strong negotiation and communication abilities
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites
