We are recruiting for an operational underwriter to join our team. There will be occasional travel to our other business locations. The individual in this role will need to be career driven, flexible and keen to excel their career working for one of the UK’s leading Insurance, Wealth and Retirement businesses.
A bit about the job
- Together, we'll be working towards providing a comprehensive service which aids both our clients and our wider team of underwriters.
- This will include building a successful network of internal and external relationships; responding to a variety of enquiries and meeting high standards to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with our Trading Underwriter teams to deliver underwriting solutions for large, complex corporate risks.
- Drive forward business strategy to deliver upon our underwriting targets.
- Deliver business-important metrics alongside our management team.
- Take personal responsibility for development in line with business strategy.
- Act on feedback from customers and share ideas with managers and peers.
Skills and experience we’re looking for
- Proven record of delivering excellent customer outcomes.
- Good knowledge of IT including spreadsheets, databases and word processing.
- General previous underwriting experience is not essential but is preferred.
- Experience in building and encouraging positive internal and external relationships.
- Previous experience in the insurance or financial industry.
