Technical Underwriting Training Consultant – Commercial Lines
Locations – Manchester, Glasgow, Perth, Leeds

We\’re looking for a Technical Underwriting Training Consultant to join our Commercial Lines & Distribution Academy – a team dedicated to empowering underwriters with the skills, confidence, and knowledge they need to succeed.
A bit about the job :
- Planning , developing and delivering impactful training predominantly underwriting technical training enabling underwriting licence progression.
- Coaching and mentoring underwriters through group sessions and 1 : 1 development.
- Designing and implementing capability plans delivering for our people and to support the business needs
- Collaborating across teams to identify and address training gaps using insights from quality checks and performance reviews.
- Building strong stakeholder relationships and being a visible, hands‑on presence across the business.
What we\’re looking for :
- Expert Underwriting Knowledge: Proven commercial underwriting expertise with demonstrated trading confidence and cross‑class (Property, Liability, and Motor Trade) licence authorities preferred
- Excellent Time Management and Organisational Skills: You will have a variety of work that will need planning to achieve results.
- Consultancy and Coaching: Proven ability to provide consultancy and coaching to embed capability effectively.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage and inspire stakeholders
- Great Team Player: You will need to be adaptable and work incredibly well across a team and wider business area.

- Salary is Competitive (depending on skills, experience and qualifications).
- Bonus opportunity – Competitive % of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva\’s.
