What you’ll do

You’ll manage a portfolio of marine cargo and freight liability claims from notification to settlement, working with internal and external partners to deliver timely, customer-focused outcomes. You’ll lead on complex cases, appoint experts, and identify fraud and recovery opportunities. You’ll also support the wider team with training and technical advice and help promote our claims proposition to drive business growth. This role sits within our Major and Complex Claims (MCC) team, where collaboration and innovation are key.

Skills and experience we’re looking for

  • Strong technical knowledge of marine insurance and marine claims handling
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Commercial awareness and confident decision-making
  • Able to coach and support others within team with technical queries
  • Comfortable using data and insights to improve processes
  • Ideally working towards or holding a CII qualification
