Head of Sustainability
Salary National Circa £110,000 and London Circa £130,000
This is a great job for someone who is motivated by embedding Sustainability into a business by integrating scalable sustainable practices within central business functions and by providing a clear narrative of business for good. Who can drive strategic input to Business Unit plans to ensure they drive Aviva’s Sustainability goals and strategy, whilst providing leadership and direction to the Group Sustainability team. Someone who can act as a trusted advisor and provide strategic counsel to senior leadership on ESG-related matters and be an expert in both perspectives.
A bit about the job:
You will co-ordinate and drive group sustainability initiatives and demands within the Business and have the ability to understand, engage and influence a range of enterprise-wide stakeholders. You will create opportunity to develop and prioritise action plans based on sustainability requirements, ensuring they are linked to internal KPIs and relevant external metrics, upholding control and governance standards and driving process adherence to ensure stakeholders are engaged and their reviews reflected. Be able to represent Aviva at external events where required.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Experience of developing and managing business plans and working with matrixed stakeholders
- Excellent relationship management skills including stakeholder management at senior executive level
- Ability to manage both complexity and volume of demand
- Proven Leadership and Commercial Edge
- Professional qualification in Sustainability/Environmental Sciences or similar (a bonus, not a necessity)
What you’ll get for this role:
- Starting salary between Circa £110,000 and Circa £130,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
- Bonus opportunity – 25% of annual salary Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
