You’ll be joining Aviva’s Major Loss team during an important period of growth and transformation. Our teams support customers through some of the most challenging home claims they will ever face. This role plays a key part in strengthening our capability, developing our people, and delivering consistent, high‑quality outcomes across the region.

A bit about the job

You’ll lead a team of Major Loss Field Adjusters who manage domestic property claims ranging from £50,000 to £250,000. The role exists to ensure we support customers with expertise, accuracy, and compassion when they need us most. You’ll oversee all operational and technical elements, driving high standards in quality, estimating, cost control, and customer service. You’ll build capability across the region by coaching, developing, and supporting your team. You’ll also work with colleagues across Claims to improve processes, share insight, and help shape future ways of working.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Experience in a managerial role leading a team within a specialist claims area.
  • Experience handling complex property claims, ideally including losses exceeding £100,000.
  • Strong understanding of building practices and regulations linked to reinstatement work.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise, multi‑task, and deliver within agreed timeframes.
  • Excellent communication skills, with proven experience coaching and mentoring others.
