We are looking for a Senior Compliance professional to join our team for a 6-month fixed-term role. If you love working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and would be keen on helping to keep the company safe as well as helping the business to deliver their growth targets, and have Conduct & Compliance experience, we would love to hear from you!
A bit about the job:
The purpose of this role is to provide expert advice to local leaders across all three lines of defence. In this role, you’ll be the go-to advisor on current and emerging regulations, helping leaders understand the practical implications and make informed decisions that benefit both our customers and Aviva.
You’ll work closely with stakeholders through a risk business partner model—collaborative by nature, but confident and directive when regulatory clarity is required. Your insights will directly influence how we develop and distribute products, ensuring we consistently deliver good outcomes for our customers.
You’ll lead the challenge on key initiatives, oversee significant conduct risk events and remediation efforts, and use data to proactively identify and mitigate risks across UK General Insurance. Your work will be visible at the highest levels, as you prepare reports for local Committees, senior management, and Group stakeholders, while building strong relationships with our Executive team.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- FCA experience working with conduct regulation. Strong judgement with the ability to identity and focus on key issues and guide and advise others
- Previous experience working within a Conduct focused compliance role working within Financial Services, ideally insurance.
- Expert knowledge of the UK regulatory expectations that apply to the local business area
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with 1st line of defence and senior management teams and be seen as a credible and trusted adviser
- Demonstrates great personal and professional integrity – highly credible and respected by key business partners.

- National salary – circa £70,000, London salary – circa £80,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
