This is a great job for someone who is a qualified actuary (or equivalent) with strong data expertise and is ready to lead a large, multi-location team in a complex finance data environment. This role would suit someone experienced in actuarial data processes or data engineering, who enjoys owning end-to-end delivery and influencing senior stakeholders.

A bit about the job: As the Senior Actuarial Manager, you will be accountable for the end-to-end Finance data pipeline, from transforming Policy Administration System data into Model Point Files (MPFs) through to ensuring data controls, governance and documentation are robust and transparent. You will lead a geographically diverse team and work closely with Modelling, Systems and Finance teams to ensure data is accurate, timely and aligned with both programme and BAU demand. Reporting to the Head of Actuarial Development, you will play a key role in ensuring IWR Finance has the outputs required to deliver value, while driving consistency, quality and continuous improvement across the data landscape.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Qualified Actuary or equivalent experience, with strong expertise in data
  • Proven experience in actuarial data processes or data engineering, including controlled coding environments (e.g. Python, SQL, R, Snowflake)
  • Demonstrated leadership of teams across multiple locations and delivery models
  • Strong ability to manage competing priorities, complex dependencies and high-demand workloads
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills, with experience strengthening data controls, governance and documentation
