Principle Business Analyst – Salary circa £75,000 Do you have a passion for transformation? We\’re transforming Aviva\’s General Insurance Business, and you could be part of this transformation. We\’re curious and love to innovate; we are on the front foot with emerging technologies, collaborating with business stakeholders to create certainty and drive excellence for our customers! We operate a flexible resource pool across our General Insurance portfolio, and therefore you could be leading the following types of large-scale transformation activity: • M&A and strategic technology integration • Major platform upgrades and SaaS adoption • Technology innovation, harnessing GenAI, Automation and data A bit about the job: As a Principal Business Analyst, you\’ll be accountable for liaising closely with business stakeholders to define and manage the scope and requirements of highly complex programmes to ensure key business goals are met with appropriate technology solutions. Your leadership will be crucial in supporting programmes or portfolios through the strategic shaping, development, testing and implementation lifecycle. The successful individual will lead a team of Business Analysts, collaborating closely with senior product owners, design, development and testing teams to ensure alignment and integrity of proposed solutions to meet business needs. We\’ll look to you to lead and contribute to relevant business and programme meetings, as well as lead business analysts to help us develop and execute the change strategy. Delivering for customers is crucial, so considering their needs and being prepared to challenge decisions that are not in their best interests is vital. The position holder will need to understand other change initiatives, recognise dependencies, and spot where business benefits can be realised through collaboration between programmes. Skills and experience we\’re looking for: Extensive experience leading business analysis for highly complex technology and business change programmes (£7m+ annual budget), ensuring alignment with strategic goals and delivering impactful solutions with the ability to facilitate, negotiate and influence C-suite stakeholders to drive required changes. Possesses a high degree of Agility (Foresight, Learning, Adaptability, Resilience) and comfortable with Mobilisation (Putting customer first, shaping strategy, Inspiring & Influencing) and Transformation (Leading innovation and seeking to redefine/challenge). Experience operating in a highly regulated, financial services environment, with a good understanding of insurance industry, business operations and strategy to enable alignment of analysis with organisational goals. Broad experience with business enterprise technologies (e.g. Snowflake, Guidewire, Salesforce, Earnix, ICE) and emerging technologies (e.g. GenAI, Automation, Digital and Data solutions). Excellent analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills with detailed knowledge and application of business analysis techniques, partnered with strong commercial competence and the ability to find and develop cost effective solutions that meet or exceed business requirements.
