This is a great opportunity to join our Commercial Risk Management team as a Prevention Consultant. You’ll support brokers and Customers across a varied commercial portfolio, helping them reduce risk and improve outcomes. The role is home-based, with regular travel to client sites as part of development and monthly visits to a local Aviva office.
We’ve created this role to help Customers turn risk insight into action. You’ll sit between Risk Consultants, Brokers, Customers, and Underwriters, making sure agreed Risk Improvements are clear, tracked, managed and delivered through to completion. The team works across a wide commercial portfolio, supporting safer businesses and informed underwriting decisions. You’ll manage Risk Improvement activity from start to finish, acting as a central point of contact. Your work will help improve Customer outcomes and support long-term, sustainable relationships. This role includes the potential to become a Risk Consultant of the future and is supported with a technical development framework and aligned coach.
Key responsibilities:- Manage and prioritise a portfolio of Risk Improvement actions across a range of commercial risks
- Act as the main point of contact for brokers, Customers, Risk Consultants, and Underwriters
- Track and follow up outstanding actions, working closely with internal teams
- Present in both internal and external meetings
- Use data, MI, and Excel-based tools to manage workload and performance
- Experience and strong technical knowledge of insurance risk management across relevant classes and associated contingencies desirable
- Able to work independently, managing your own workload while staying connected and engaged with the wider team
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to explain actions clearly and work effectively with Customers, Brokers, and colleagues
- Comfortable managing multiple activities, using data, Excel, and IT tools to prioritise work and solve problems creatively
- Forward-thinking and positive in approach, with the ability to balance day-to-day delivery with longer-term operational and strategic thinking
- Full UK Driving Licence desirable
