Pension Secretarial Services / Trustee Secretariat

Overview

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to join our team as part of the Trustee Secretariat. This role is perfect for someone with a strong grasp of the governance controls critical to Master Trust and a commitment to delivering high‑quality, timely outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Draft agendas and minutes, oversee action tracking and record‑keeping for Trust‑related meetings
  • Provide governance advice to Trustee Directors in line with pension scheme requirements
  • Collaborate closely with the Trustee Secretariat Lead, AMT Governance Team, Aviva colleagues, and outsourced service providers
  • Play a key role in preparing for AMT meetings and producing meeting packs
  • Engage regularly with the Trustee, Head of the Master Trust, Strategist, and other internal/external stakeholders to ensure timely communication and support for decision‑making and statutory deadlines

Skills and experience

  • Solid understanding of DC pensions governance and The Pensions Regulator’s (TPR) requirements
  • Previous governance or secretarial experience, ideally within a pensions or financial services environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy; strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior leaders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and remain calm under pressure
