This role could be ideal for someone with a legal qualification or solid financial services experience, looking to deepen their expertise in both Personal and Commercial insurance. This 12-month fixed-term opportunity offers exposure to a broad range of legal and regulatory matters within a supportive, collaborative team.
A bit about the job:
We’re looking for a Paralegal to join our UK General Insurance legal team, based in Norwich. The role supports both the Global Corporate & Speciality and Personal Lines businesses, flexing as needed. You’ll work closely with senior lawyers on legal, regulatory and financial services issues, helping to deliver first-class legal advice. Expect to assist with reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts, confidentiality agreements, product literature and consumer-facing documentation, as well as conducting legal research and building strong stakeholder relationships across Aviva.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Legal qualifications (e.g. Undergraduate degree, GDL, LPC, CILEx) or relevant legal/financial services experience
- Knowledge of UK regulated financial services and related laws
- Strong communication and administrative skills, with the confidence to question and challenge
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently, managing workload and priorities effectively
- Familiarity with UK insurance products and contract law is helpful but not essential

- Starting salary between £28,000 – £30,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
