A bit about the job:

We’re transforming how our internal teams (application and development) understand and manage their services.

As an Observability Analyst, you’ll help uplift their capabilities by designing scalable, automated solutions that improve reliability and performance.

You’ll be part of the Observability Centre of Excellence & Innovation, within Hosting and Service Platforms, based in York and supported by our Global Sourcing Partner Team in India.

You’ll work closely with engineers, vendors and market teams to drive adoption of our observability service, improve automation, and enhance service quality.

You’ll also lead vendor reviews, track usage against budgets, forecast future demand, and support commercial planning with insights for our Software Asset Manager and Procurement Category Manager.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Experience transforming observability platforms and delivering end-to-end customer journey insights.
  • Strong understanding of telemetry pipelines, distributed tracing and monitoring architectures.
  • Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog, AppDynamics, Splunk and CISCO.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and understand risk and control environments – Financial Services experience is a plus.
