A bit about the job:
As a member of the C&M Transformation Team, you'll provide expert programme planning and delivery support across our strategic initiatives in the portfolio, ensuring plans are realistic, logically sequenced, and clearly linked to programme objectives, benefits, and milestones. You will work closely with Sponsors, Programme Leads, and delivery teams to shape, optimise and assure the plans that underpin high-priority C&M outcomes.
You must be comfortable working with ambiguity, shaping structure where none exists, and operating across all lifecycle stages. Creative thinking, problem analysis and the ability to anticipate delivery challenges early are key attributes for this role.
You’ll build transparency around planning assumptions, risks and dependencies, and support decision-making through scenario planning and optionality. Acting as an objective planning partner, you'll help establish robust delivery baselines, define clear hand-offs and escalation triggers, and ensure logical, achievable critical paths.
You’ll also play a key role in improving planning maturity across C&M Transformation by embedding best practice, supporting portfolio-level reporting and ensuring consistent planning standards across our work.
Skills and experience we're looking for:
- Deep experience in planning roles within complex, multi-workstream programmes.
- Strong capability with planning and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Planview, Jira).
- Experience working in a transformation, change, or programme/portfolio management environment.
- Excellent analytical skills - able to distil complexity and create clarity for senior stakeholders.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to constructively challenge and steer direction.
What you'll get for this role:
- Starting salary between c. £60,000 and c. £70,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
- Bonus opportunity - 12% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva's.
