Overview

This role is ideal for an experienced underwriter ready to take on greater responsibility or for someone transitioning their underwriting knowledge into Group Protection Schemes. Responsibilities

  • Underwrite Group Life, Income Protection, and Critical Illness policies, providing accurate and timely quotations.
  • Work closely with Distribution, Operations, and intermediaries to manage risk and deliver exceptional service.
  • Make decisions within agreed authority limits and contribute to a positive team environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in underwriting and risk evaluation, with the ability to make sound decisions and apply judgement across different scenarios.
  • Knowledge of Group Protection products and relevant legislation, or a willingness to learn quickly and build expertise.
  • Strong relationship‑building and communication skills, able to work collaboratively with colleagues, intermediaries, and customers.
  • Ability to plan and organise effectively in a fast‑paced environment, managing priorities and maintaining accuracy under pressure.
