This is a great job for someone who has experience of GI pricing and is looking to assist in the development of market-leading pricing and underwriting capability. This role would suit someone who is highly numerical, enjoys working with data and statistics, and has a passion for improving processes. A strong desire to learn and develop, alongside the ability to solve problems and explain the story behind the numbers, will be key to success.
A bit about the job: This role sits within Aviva’s Personal Lines team, working across PCW motor brands including Aviva Online, Aviva Zero and Quote Me Happy Connect. You will collaborate closely with teams across Analytics, Finance, Underwriting, Claims, Conduct and Compliance to deliver pricing insight and solutions. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality analysis and supporting the development of innovative pricing solutions that drive commercial performance. The role includes evaluating the impact of pricing decisions, supporting technical analysis, and ensuring outputs align with business objectives. You will also play a key role in managing and developing a small team of Pricing Consultants, while ensuring customer and conduct outcomes remain at the heart of decision making. This is an opportunity to support the development of market-leading pricing processes and contribute to enhancing the capability of the wider pricing function.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Understanding of UK general insurance pricing, with knowledge of modelling techniques and processes (risk and/or optimisation preferred)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems
- Experience communicating insights to senior stakeholders and influencing decision making
- Experience managing or developing others, or a desire to step into team leadership
- Experience in SQL, Python, Radar/Emblem or Earnix is desirable but not essential
What you’ll get for this role:
- Starting salary between £45,000 and c. £79,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
- Bonus opportunity - 10% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
