A bit about the job: This role exists to strengthen Aviva's control environment for external non-financial reporting. You'll help protect the quality and reliability of our ESG metrics by assessing how controls are designed and how well they work. You'll join the Group Financial Reporting Controls Framework team within Finance Risk & Control. The team supports consistent, trusted reporting across the business. You'll be accountable for identifying control gaps, supporting fixes, and helping leaders gain confidence in our external reporting.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

  • Strong understanding of production and reporting process controls, including how to lead process walkthroughs and how to design, document, evidence and test key controls (first line or audit experience desirable).
  • Demonstrable knowledge of automated control scoping, testing and review activities, including IT General Controls (ITGCs), IT Application Controls (ITACs) and Information Produced by Entity (IPE).
  • Ability to challenge and influence stakeholders to assess control design and drive improvements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex issues clearly.
  • Good understanding of non-financial reporting standards, knowledge of ESG metrics is desirable.
