A bit about the job

We’re modernising Aviva’s Individual Annuities finance architecture through Project Thames. You’ll help define and validate finance and data requirements across multiple workstreams. You’ll connect Finance SMEs, Actuarial, Data Platform and vendor teams. You’ll support design, testing and readiness to protect accurate financial outcomes. You’ll deliver clear artefacts and help land robust, compliant future-state processes.

What you’ll do

  • Elicit, challenge, and document finance requirements across the programme.
  • Define data mappings, lineage, controls and reconciliations.
  • Validate designs and impacts on the Finance TOM and reporting.
  • Work closely with build, test and readiness teams.
  • Manage dependencies and facilitate cross-workstream collaboration.

Must-have skills and experience

  • Strong knowledge of Finance processes in insurance or financial services.
  • Experience with accounting flows, journals, reconciliations and controls.
  • Data analysis skills: mapping, lineage, validation and reporting.
  • Proven delivery in multi-system transformation programmes.
  • Clear, confident communication with Finance, Actuarial, Data and technical teams.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to IFRS17 and IFRS9.
  • Experience with policy admin systems and actuarial model integration.
  • Vendor solution design, accounting systems or payments integrations.
  • Creating high-quality NFRs, process flows and functional specifications.
  • Testing experience across SIT, UAT or end-to-end cycles.
