Overview

We are seeking an organised and proactive Project Support Administrator to support delivery across a range of projects within a regulated financial services environment. The role sits within a matrix organisation, working closely with project managers, governance teams and third‑party suppliers to ensure effective coordination, reporting and oversight. This is a hands‑on support role suited to someone with strong administrative, coordination and stakeholder management skills, ideally with experience in financial services or insurance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day‑to‑day project support across multiple workstreams
  • Support risk and governance activities, ensuring appropriate documentation is maintained and actions are tracked
  • Coordinate meetings, materials and follow‑ups, bringing the right people together at the right time
  • Produce and maintain project reporting, including light‑touch plans and high‑level progress views
  • Support use of portfolio or planning tools (e.g. Planview or similar)
  • Track actions, dependencies, risks and issues, escalating where required
  • Liaise with internal teams and third‑party suppliers to ensure alignment and information flow
  • Operate effectively within a matrix environment, balancing priorities across stakeholders

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in a project support, PMO, or project administration role
  • Experience working in financial services or insurance environments
  • Comfortable working in a regulated environment with governance and risk frameworks
  • Experience supporting projects involving third‑party suppliers
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Confident communicator, able to engage and coordinate across teams
  • Experience with project reporting and planning tools (Planview experience desirable)
  • Previous Aviva experience would be advantageous but not essential

Working Arrangement

Hybrid model with approximately 50% office attendance. Offices based in York, Sheffield or Eastleigh.
