A bit about the job:
We’re looking for an SEO Manager to lead Aviva’s approach to discoverability across traditional search engines and AI search platforms such as ChatGPT, Google’s Gemini, and Google’s AI Overviews. This role is critical in ensuring Aviva’s products, expertise, and content are visible, trusted, and surfaced accurately wherever customers search, ask, or explore.
You will work closely with our Paid Search and Social Media teams to ensure an integrated search strategy. Your role will involve identifying content gaps, briefing content using SEO and LLM best practices, and scaling our discoverability across AI search platforms. You will support the business and collaborate with various teams to achieve business goals, effectively communicating growth insights to senior leaders and stakeholders.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Extensive experience in SEO, across onsite and technical - both in agency and in-house settings, with a proven track record of delivering business growth and demonstrating SEO commercial success.
- Proven experience navigating the evolving search landscape, including traditional search, generative AI, AI Overviews, and conversational search.
- Understanding of emerging GEO and AEO approaches, including how AI-driven search and answer experiences surface content and ensuring content is structured to perform well in traditional search and AI generated responses.
- Experience working with large brands, ideally within Financial Services or regulatory industries, and a data-driven, customer-focused approach.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to report on and explain SEO and AI visibility concepts clearly to non-specialists.
