We are looking for a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the development and optimisation of our AI/ML infrastructure platforms, enabling scalable, secure, and data-driven solutions across the organisation. You will play a critical role in building and maintaining cloud-based platforms that support advanced analytics, underwriting, pricing, and fraud detection capabilities. Working across AWS and Azure, you will ensure high performance, reliability, and governance of our strategic AI/ML toolsets. This role will also drive DevOps maturity, standardisation, and automation across engineering practices. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to shape technical roadmaps and support enterprise‑wide data and AI strategy.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Strong hands‑on experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms, including designing and managing scalable infrastructure
- Deep understanding of DevOps, MLOps, and AIOps practices, with a focus on automation and continuous improvement
- Proven experience building and optimising CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps and Jenkins
- Expertise in containerisation and serverless technologies (e.g., Kubernetes/EKS, AWS Lambda)
- Proficiency in infrastructure‑as‑code and scripting (Terraform, Ansible, Python, YAML, JSON, PowerShell)
What you’ll get for this role:
- Salary circa £70,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
- Bonus opportunity - 10% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
- Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in.
