A bit about the job
Our Motor Retail Pricing team brings together capabilities across Risk, Insights, Trading and Projects, giving you exposure to the full pricing lifecycle. As a Motor Pricing Manager focused on Pricing Optimisation, you'll own the pricing optimisation ecosystem across Motor Retail Pricing. This includes pricing data, analysis platforms, optimisation processes, coordination of developments and validation of regular Radar capability enhancements. You'll work across pricing, data and technology teams to ensure our optimisation capability remains robust, scalable and innovative, enabling pricing teams to make better decisions faster.
What you’ll be doing:
- Owning the pricing optimisation ecosystem across Motor Retail Pricing.
- Managing and enhancing pricing optimisation data, analytical platforms and supporting processes.
- Coordinating and validating regular Radar capability developments.
- Ensuring optimisation solutions are delivered efficiently, reliably and at scale.
- Identifying opportunities to improve optimisation frameworks, controls and governance.
- Working closely with stakeholders across Pricing, Data and Technology teams.
- Supporting pricing teams with optimisation expertise and best practice.
- Driving enhancements that strengthen Aviva's market‑leading pricing capability.
Skills and experience we're looking for:
- Strong experience in General Insurance pricing, ideally within Motor.
- Excellent analytical capability, with experience using Radar, SQL and/or Python.
- Experience developing pricing models, including multivariate techniques (e.g. Emblem or similar).
- Strong understanding of pricing optimisation techniques and frameworks.
- Experience working with pricing data, analytical platforms and optimisation processes.
- Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
- A proactive approach, balancing technical, commercial and customer considerations.
