Although this role covers the Norwich /Ipswich / Norfolk region, we also have opportunities available in the following areas: Available locations: Northern Ireland South London region Birmingham region Perth / Dundee region Eastleigh /Southampton / Reading region A bit about the job: Your responsibilities include providing a customer-focused and cost-effective service by visiting domestic & commercial property claims customers. The role involves visiting customers to assess liability, build work scopes, draw floorplan, validate claims against policy cover, agree settlements, and determine the best management route for the claim. Responsibilities also include recording evidence, appointing suppliers, making liability decisions, and creating initial reserves using claims scoping software, sometimes working out of the area to support major incidents. The position demands self-motivation, managing personal appointments, and may involve travel across the UK with flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Skills and experience were looking for: Experience handling property insurance claims, loss adjusting cases or investigations within a regulated environment. Experience with property inspections, virtual assessments, commercial claims, and scoping systems such as Cotality and/or Xactimate would be advantageous. Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess evidence and reach fair, balanced conclusions. Exceptional empathy and communication skills: adept at gathering evidence, delivering difficult news with sensitivity, and maintaining strong client relations. Comprehensive understanding of Flood, Escape of Water (EOW), and Fire damage management, alongside health and safety regulations and industry-specific legislation.
