What you’ll do
- You will lead the Growth and Investment team within the Political Advocacy function of Group Public Affairs.
- Drive and coordinate strategic engagement with Combined Authorities (CAs), local government, and institutional partners to unlock regional investment opportunities.
- Align Aviva's investment priorities with the Group Public Affairs strategy and broader business objectives.
- Champion and communicate Aviva's economic and social impact to build influential political and institutional relationships that advance regional and national goals.
Skills and experience we’re looking for
- Proven ability to lead and collaborate across teams with a strategic, commercial and solutions-oriented mindset; track record of delivering cross-functional collaboration and aligning strategic objectives.
- Extensive experience in public affairs and/or political roles.
- Deep understanding of regional economic development, regeneration, institutional investment, and local government structures.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to navigate complex political and organisational environments.
- Experience in financial services or a large corporate environment (desirable).
