We are looking for someone to join our Group Protection Underwriting team β a close-knit group that supports our customers with life, income protection, and critical illness cover. You will be helping intermediaries and policyholders by assessing risk and pricing schemes fairly and accurately. This role is all about delivering great service, making confident decisions, and working closely with teams across Aviva. You will play a key part in ensuring our customers feel supported and protected.
A bit about the job:
- Underwriting and issuing quotations for Group Life, Income Protection, and Critical Illness policies.
- Making decisions aligned with our underwriting philosophy and within your authority limits.
- Confirming risk and enrolling new schemes, ensuring smooth handovers to Operations.
- Resolving queries and supporting customers and colleagues with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Developing your technical and behavioural skills as you progress through our frameworks.
Skills and experience we are looking for:
- A keen eye for detail and an analytical mindset.
- Comfortable using Microsoft 365, especially Excel.
- Motivated to deliver a great experience for every customer.
- Able to plan and adapt to changing priorities.
- Group Protection knowledge is a bonus, but not essential.
Note: Due to this being a role in scope for Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) it is a prerequisite that you are not currently bankrupt and do not have an unspent conviction for a serious criminal offence. In applying for this role you are certifying that you satisfy both of these requirements.
