A bit about the job: As a Cyber Security Specialist, you’ll play a key role in protecting Aviva and strengthening our global Cyber Security posture. You’ll be part of the Automation and Orchestration team within Cyber Operations – a team that provides essential services across the UK, Canada, Ireland and Aviva Investors. You’ll work closely with cyber colleagues, business stakeholders and market teams to write clean, efficient and well documented code while utilising standard frameworks.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Strong professional experience in Python development, including API integration (e.g. Microsoft Graph), data manipulation (JSON, CSV, TXT), file handling, and building AI agents.
  • Solid SQL Server knowledge, with the ability to stage and manipulate data using Python.
  • Experience or exposure to Cyber Security SIEM/SOAR platforms, such as Microsoft Sentinel and Google SecOps SOAR.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure and GCP.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a proactive approach to closing knowledge gaps.

Salary Circa: £55000 (depending on location, skills, experience and qualifications). Bonus opportunity 10% of annual salary – Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s. Generous pension scheme – Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in. 29 days holiday plus.
