We have a fantastic opportunity for a Conduct & Compliance Manager to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with detailed pricing knowledge who is looking to broaden their experience and abilities as part of their personal development and career path, working within a team operating in an ever-changing and fast-paced regulatory landscape.
A bit about the job:
- The role offers fantastic insight and exposure across the Personal Lines business, involving relationship building and stakeholder management across all levels and associated functions including product, underwriting, risk and senior management.
- You will be a technical pricing expert within the team, interpreting and explaining regulations, supporting the development of new reporting or monitoring to evidence the ways in which we embed and implement regulations and controls.
Additionally, you will:
- Support the Senior Pricing & Conduct Lead, advising on technical pricing issues, supporting the development of best practice and bespoke solutions within individual teams.
- Act as an internal challenge, identifying and calling out any emerging issues and supporting appropriate corrective action.
- Support engagement with internal and external stakeholders and processes, including some elements of audit and assurance activity, regulatory requirements (including FCA attestation and reporting submissions) and responses to regulatory consultation processes.
- Focus on customer outcomes, ensuring that fair treatment of customers is embedded into the culture and activities of the team, decision-making processes consider customer interests and that they result in good customer outcomes.
- Focus on a strong and effective risk/control environment, ensuring that the business operates effectively.
- Focus on improving performance through efficiency and driving innovative and market-leading development of capability, in an ever-changing regulatory environment.
Skills and experience we're looking for:
- Detailed understanding of pricing models, technologies and approaches currently used within GI pricing is essential to this role.
- Knowledge of underwriting techniques and processes.
- Understanding of best practice concepts and communicating ideas, approaches or policies to wide and varied audiences.
- Working under short or challenging regulatory timelines.
- An ability to think both tactically and strategically, good numeracy and analytical skills.
What you'll get for this role:
- Starting salary Β£45,000 - Β£60,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
- Bonus opportunity - 10% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva's.
- Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in.
