A bit about the job:
- You’ll lead a team of claims professionals responsible for handling a wide range of complex professions claims across both Company and Lloyd’s paper.
- The role combines technical oversight, people leadership and market engagement, with accountability for delivering fair, timely and commercially sound claims outcomes.
- You’ll provide direction on complex and sensitive files, including coverage analysis, reserving, negotiation and resolution strategy, while ensuring claims are handled in line with internal standards, regulatory expectations and market best practice.
- In addition to leading day‑to‑day performance, you’ll coach and develop your team, strengthen technical capability, and drive continuous improvement in file quality, service delivery and operational effectiveness.
- You’ll also work closely with underwriters, brokers, legal partners and other key stakeholders across the Lloyd’s and London Market, using your judgment and reputation to support strong relationships and positive outcomes.

- Significant experience managing complex claims within the Lloyd’s and London Market
- Strong experience handling claims on both Company and Lloyd’s paper
- Proven people leadership experience, with a track record of developing and managing high‑performing teams
- Strong technical expertise across professions claims, including complex, high‑value or sensitive matters
- Sound judgement across coverage, reserving, negotiation and dispute resolution
- Established market credibility, with the ability to build strong relationships with brokers, underwriters, legal partners and other external stakeholders
- Strong understanding of regulatory expectations and governance requirements relevant to claims handling
- Ability to use insight, trends and performance data to improve file quality, customer outcomes and team performance
