This is a brilliant opportunity if you’re an experienced commercial insurance leader who enjoys shaping outcomes, strengthening broker relationships, and being a visible voice in the market. A bit about the job:

  • You’ll lead our Mid Market Branch across Scotland and Northern Ireland, guiding a team of around 45‐50 colleagues.
  • You’ll shape underwriting performance, strengthen broker partnerships, and help us grow a portfolio worth more than ÂŁ100m.
  • You’ll work side by side with Sales and Distribution to present one clear Aviva presence to the market.
  • You’ll also play an active role in our North Region Senior Leadership Team, influencing strategy and bringing our values to life.
  • Your leadership will help your team deliver great outcomes for customers, brokers and our business.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Leadership experience in commercial insurance, ideally in mid‐market underwriting or senior broking.
  • A track record of leading large, multi‐location teams and supporting leaders.
  • Strong, trusted relationships across the Scotland and Northern Ireland broker market.
  • Confident commercial judgement and the ability to drive sustainable, profitable growth.
  • Comfortable representing Aviva externally, building influence and partnering closely with Sales and Distribution.
