This is a great job for someone who has significant experience leading operational teams within financial services and is looking to play a key role in the management of a large and growing annuity reinsurance portfolio. A bit about the job:

  • Accountable for the end-to-end delivery of annuity reinsurance operations across the in-force portfolio, ensuring activities including accounts, finalisations, annual reviews and collateral management are completed accurately and on time.
  • Lead the operational management of a growing and increasingly complex reinsurance estate, ensuring robust governance, effective controls and strong risk management across all activities.
  • Deliver operational change initiatives impacting reinsurance operations, working closely with technical, actuarial and business stakeholders to implement scalable and sustainable solutions.
  • Manage relationships with reinsurers and act as the key operational contact across Finance, Risk, Actuarial and Retirement Solutions teams, driving effective collaboration and issue resolution.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing operations team, setting clear priorities, driving continuous improvement and ensuring the successful delivery of business objectives.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Strong experience in financial services operations, ideally within BPA Operations, defined benefit pensions, annuities or reinsurance environments.
  • Proven track record of leading teams and delivering complex operational processes within a well-controlled and regulated environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence across multiple senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrable ability to identify opportunities for process improvement, driving scalability, operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • High levels of ownership, accountability and sound decision-making judgement, with experience managing operational risks and controls effectively.
