This enterprising role is an exciting opportunity to join Aviva’s market leading Annuity and Equity Release business within UK Life. The team’s purpose is to execute longevity and asset reinsurance on c.£7bn annuity liabilities per annum!

A bit about the role: You will ideally be a part qualified Actuary or qualified by experience with UK pensions experience. As part of the role you will be liaising with Finance oversight, preparing reinsurer credit exposure analysis and collaborating with the team to analyse reinsurance transactions.

What will be the day to day tasks:

  • Supporting the longevity and asset reinsurance tender process
  • Working with the BPA Pricing and Deal Management teams to optimise terms and ensure effective treaty management
  • Supporting work to ensure compliance with the Reinsurance Governance Framework

What will you bring to the role:

  • Understanding of market risk management fundamentals, including use of vanilla derivatives to hedge interest rate and cross-currency exposures
  • Ability to make compelling written and verbal investment recommendations
  • Confidence to challenge existing behaviours and received wisdom
  • Advanced Excel skills and understanding of model governance and end user computing risk management
