This is a senior leadership role for someone who brings credibility, judgement and pace to complex, high‑value opportunities. You’ll have a strong presence in fast‑moving environments and a proven ability to lead experienced teams through pressure and ambiguity. You’ll build influence across senior stakeholders, set clear direction, and shape outcomes that matter. Above all, you’ll be motivated by the opportunity to have a tangible impact on Aviva’s growth across General Insurance and Life Protection. This role will require regular travel to Scotland.

At the heart of the role is collaboration, bringing together diverse stakeholders to shape compelling, customer‑centred solutions aligned to Aviva’s strategy. You’ll set the benchmark for best‑in‑class proposal management and design, ensuring bids are clear, confident and engaging, while delivering on commitments at the right pace through strong governance and compliance. Leadership is central, as you build and develop a high‑performing team with the right structure, processes and succession planning to sustain success. You’ll play a visible, strategic role across Aviva, building trusted relationships with senior leaders, partners and intermediaries, and contributing directly to the Partnerships and New Business Strategy. Alongside driving growth, you’ll manage budgets and embed robust risk and conduct frameworks, with success measured by stronger win rates, high‑quality delivery, positive customer feedback and demonstrable value for Aviva and its stakeholders.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Excellent leadership skills – ability to build, inspire and motivate bid, onboarding and proposal teams in a high pressured, deadline and results driven environment
  • Exposure to large scale bids, proposal management processes, contract governance and implementations with excellent project management capabilities
  • High level stakeholder management, the ability to influence key decision makers and exposure to fast paced and pressurised negotiations
  • Strong commercial business perspective and acumen alongside a proven track record of leading and delivering large and complex deals/projects in a B2B environment
  • In-depth knowledge of the company and its processes alongside Aviva Strategy, Propositions & Operating Models
