This is an exciting role for someone seeking an opportunity to build a career within Aviva Broker Underwriting. The role sits within the Broker Operations area and the role-holder will be supporting Aviva’s Personal Lines Brokers. Our aim is to improve and drive growth within this segment. A working knowledge and recent experience working within Aviva’s Personal Lines area is essential to the role.
The role sits within the wider Trading and Distribution team, which provides great opportunities for career progression into Sales, Distribution and Strategy roles and the opportunity to work in a strategically important and growing area of the business.
A bit about the job:
- In this role, you will be aligned to a portfolio of brokers/customers to proactively develop and profitably grow their Personal Lines book of business.
- You will partner with brokers and internal stakeholders to truly understand their wants and needs, using data insight to ensure we improve the whole customer solution and proposition.
- You will also be a multi-product underwriter who operates within agreed guidelines and authority levels to profitably grow and maintain the book of business.
- The Assistant Underwriter - Broker Operations will engage with Brokers, understand their needs, and help them to place or retain risks.
- This is an essential role in developing Aviva Brokers growth ambitions.
- Responding to mailbox queries & dealing with Live Chat Broker demand.
- Data gathering.
- Building broker engagement by improving our proposition.
- Supporting Distribution, UW, Pricing stakeholders.
- Protecting the Broker book via first class Underwriting.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Excellent communication, listening, time management and negotiating skills.
- Analysis of risks and ability to communicate and present effectively to brokers and/or customers.
- Working collaboratively within a large complex organisation.
- Good knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulation and legislation.
What you’ll get for this role:
- Salary - Circa £28,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
- Bonus opportunity – 6% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
